Video Premiere: "Respect For All Living Things" Live At In The Soil
We play in live in Hamilton tonight with Joe Lapinski!
Hello everyone,
We’re excited to share something special with you today: the premiere of a live video of Respect For All Living Things, captured during our 2022 performance at In The Soil Arts Festival in St. Catharines. This recording appears on our most recent release “In Pieces: An Acoustic Retrospective”
The talented Adam Vollick shot and directed the video, which beautifully reflects the energy of that evening.
The audio was recorded by co-producer Joe Lapinski, who will be opening for us this evening in Hamilton. There are still a few tickets left for the show and we would love to see you there. We have a few shows left after that on our run of Ontario dates celebrating the release of “In Pieces: An Acoustic Retrospective,”
Here’s the full list of dates:
Dec. 6 - Hamilton, ON - Westdale Cinema w/ Joe Lapinski *TONIGHT*
Dec. 7 - London, ON - The Aeolian w/ Zoon
Dec. 12 - Toronto, ON - The Great Hall w/ Zoon
Dec. 13 - Stouffville (Gormley), ON - Harmony Music Hall w/ Hollow Sage
At each show, we’re thrilled to showcase original paintings by Geoff Farnsworth, the artist behind the album covers for In Pieces: An Acoustic Retrospective, Uncertain Country, and Live At The Redeemer. At each of these shows, we will be displaying paintings done by artist Geoff Farnsworth. These paintings became the album artworks for our albums “In Pieces: An Acoustic Retrospective,” “Uncertain Country,” and “Live At The Redeemer”.
To mark over 20 years as a band and the release of In Pieces: An Acoustic Retrospective, we’re auctioning the original, one-of-a-kind paintings that became the covers for these albums.
Geoff Farnsworth’s artwork is deeply intertwined with the spirit of our music. His ability to balance the tangible and abstract reflects the same creative process that shapes a song—intentional choices blending with the unexpected to create something meaningful.
Each painting will be paired with a vinyl copy of its corresponding album, signed by both Tony Dekker and Geoff Farnsworth.
As today is Bandcamp Friday, it’s also the perfect opportunity to revisit our catalogue, pick up some vinyl, or snag that piece of merch you’ve been eyeing. 100% of the proceeds go directly to artists on Bandcamp Fridays, so your support means the world.
Thanks for reading and we hope to see you at a show soon,
Great Lake Swimmers
